It is one of the hardest struggles in the natural and organic world…DEODORANT!  However, I have found one that makes me very happy.  The (Malin + Goetz) deodorant is one that I currently have in rotation.  But before we get more into that, let’s talk a little bit about the company!

(Malin + Goetz) is a family run, natural skin apothecary that focuses on helping men and women with sensitive skin.  My skin is not only really sensitive, but I suffer from rosacea and eczema at times.  Therefore, I need to be really careful of what I put on my skin.  Partially the reason I wanted to make the change towards more natural and organic products.  I love how (Malin + Goetz) supports other small, family run businesses in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

About the products:

  • No animal testing
  • Paraben-free

“Today, technology and modern science allow us to manipulate pure ingredients, like peppermint oil and lavender, so they perform better and won’t irritate sensitive skin. So essentially, we combine the best from nature and technology to create the most effective products.” -Kari Molvar

Now onto the goods!!! One of my current deodorants is the (Malin + Goetz) Eucalyptus Deodorant ($20).  I love the soothing smell of the eucalyptus and if I start to sweat, I love how I can smell it just a little bit more.  The deodorant is alcohol and aluminum free.  I found it true what they say on their website, that once you switch deodorants you let the “floodgates open” and it may take a couple weeks for your body to adjust.  In this time, your body is working on unclogging your pores of whatever your previous deodorant left behind.  However, after  a couple weeks, my body reestablished its equilibrium and this has become my favorite deodorant.  Not too strong, thick, or weak either.  Now this is not as “clean” as my attempt at homemade coconut oil and baking soda deodorant, but it works and smells better!  And that’s what I really need right now.  So if you’re looking for a reliable deodorant with a light and spa-like scent, give this baby a shot and let me know what you think!
