Hey babes!!! I am so excited to share a ton of new, gorgeous products with you!  Today we are talking about Inlight Organic Skincare.  These products came at a perfect time when winter winds can leave your skin feeling a little more than parched.  As a cystic acne survivor, I know the importance of a proper cleansing and mask ritual that is all about those healthy oils!  And these healthy, moisturizing oil-based products are the perfect transitional products to take you from fall to winter!

But first, here’s what I love about Inlight Skincare:

So what’s their secret?

At the center of all Inight products lies their Bio-lipophilic Matrix®.  This name is given to their specific blend of pure vegetable oils that are cold-pressed and organically certified.  This allows the skin to accept the oils just as it would its natural sebum.  This process also helps the biochemical, physiological, and immunity process of the body to enliven the curing and soothing properties of the skin.

If you are afraid of oils and worry that they will clog your pores, check out my post on body oils here where I talk about myths and truths of oils.

At Inlight, we take only the finest, ethically-sourced, natural, and organic ingredients and harness them at their most potent to create a gourmet, artisan, sublimely luxurious diet for your skin.”

Now on to the products!

Face Cleanser: This oil-based formula is great for cleansing the face as well as for removing makeup.  The main smells that are emitted from the cleanser are first, rosemary and olive oil, and then a slight awakening of coconut and green tea.  The smell is so soothing, I cherished each minute that it was cleansing my face. I love using this cleanser when my face is feeling particularly dry as it leaves my face feeling so soft and moisturized.  I also noticed that immediately after using, it had reduced the redness/rosacea from my cheeks, what a happy surprise!

How To Use

Massage a pearl-sized amount of the product into your face and around eyes. Leave on for 2 to 5 minutes (I left it on for 5 minutes) and then remove with a damp cloth. I liked to splash a little Floral Tonic onto my damp cloth and wipe off any excess product.

Line Softener: This line softener helps to repair, hydrate, and soothe the skin and provide it with essential vitamins A & E as well as essential fatty acids to help moisturize and to promote elasticity within the skin.  A little goes a long way!  I have various scars on my face from cystic acne and this softener has helped to reduce the appearance of those scars all while also reducing redness and hydrating my skin.

*If you are even slightly allergic to nuts, I would be cautious about using this softener as it does contain macadamia oil.

After cleansing, I liked to gently massage a minimal amount around my eyes and any laughter lines around my face.

Floral Face Tonic: I love using this tonic right after cleansing with the Face Cleanser.  The tonic is alcohol-free and features gorgeous and earthy flower extracts. The main floral smells emitted are rose, roman chamomile, lavender, and my favorite…cornflower!  I looked forward to using this tonic as the scents have such a calming and refreshing effect.

How To Use

You can dampen a cotton pad and apply to your entire face, including eyes. I love to use it to added to a dampened cloth to remove the Face Cleanser and face masks.

Ingredients

Rosa damascena – rose flower water – toning, astringent Anthemis nobilis – roman chamomile flower water – calming, soothing Lavandula angustifolia – lavender flower water – cytophylactic, soothing Centaurea cyanus – cornflower flower water – astringent Citrus grandis – grapefruit seed extract – toning, astringent, skin conditioning

Daily Face Oil: This facial oil is truly an original.  The prominent ingredients are blue mallow, jojoba oil, but most prominently to the senses, rosehip oil, lavender, and vanilla. I like to apply this to my skin without fully drying my face after cleansing.  This oil is ideal to help protect the skin against everyday pollutants and to help nourish the skin.  This is one of the best oils I’ve found to use underneath makeup as it does not make the makeup slip around your face but just adds a great moisturizing and glowing effect.

How To Use:

Apply a few drops to the face after cleansing and gently massage into the skin from the inside out and downward, in circular motions to stimulate lymphatic circulation. I have found that my skin reacts the best and I get less breakouts when I massage my face like this as it helps with blood flow and detoxification.

Ingredients

Simmondsia chinensis – jojoba oil – nourishing, promotes elasticity Rosa rubiginosa – rose oil – antioxidant, skin restorative Rosa damascena – rose flower extract – astringent Oenothera biennis – evening primrose oil – antioxidant, Vitamin E-rich Vanilla planifolia – vanilla extract – astringent, antiseptic Malva sylvestris – mallow extract – soothing, anti-inflammatory Rosa canina – rose hip extract – antioxidant Lavandula angustifolia – lavender oil – anti-inflammatory, cytophylactic Rosa damascena – rose flower oil – astringent Linalool*, geraniol*, citronellol*, limonene*. *Natural constituent of essential oils.

Super Food Face Mask: This mask was amazing as it gently exfoliates the face while it provides amazing anti-oxidant benefits, cleanses the skin, hydates it, and improves its complexion.  The face mask features such amazing ingredients as spirulina, rose seed oil, carrot root, and barley leaf.  You can certainly smell each of the ingredients but it is not overpowering and is still pleasant to the senses.   As recommended, I alternated each week between this mask and the Chocolate Face Mask. This mask was super hydrating!  Perfect for the winter time!

How To Use

Massage a thin layer of the mask over your skin and leave it on for 10-20 minutes (I left it on for 20 minutes). Then take a damp cloth, sprinkled with the Floral Face Tonic, and gently removed the mask.

Chocolate Face Mask: As soon as I opened the jar of this face mask, I immediately thought of rich, dark chocolate.  Because of this, this mask feels extremely luxurious and indulgent to use.  This mask is made of fine organic cocoa seed powder, argan oil, and evening primrose oil.  This mask helps to exfoliate, nourish, and clean the skin leaving it feeling extremely moisturized!  I would argue that you don’t even need to moisturize after.

Inlight Organic Skincare is another brand that I thoroughly enjoy not only because of its organic and cruelty-free ingredients, but because of the important shift they are continuing from oil-free to oil-based skincare.  One of my greatest skincare predicaments, cystic acne, was in fact solved by the combination of coconut oil and baking soda.  So many of us are afraid to put oils on our face, when in fact that is the very thing we need to enrich, protect, soothe, and renew our skin.  Inlight Organic Skincare is perfect for those with dry, red, or aging skin as well as everything in between.

What do y’all think? What are your favorite oil-based brands?
